About Me

who am I?

Hello! My name is Jessica Wininger, and I'm a 26-year-old UX Designer based in the DFW metroplex.

I am passionate about making beautiful, user-centered designs and learning as much about human-computer interaction as I possibly can.

My background is in user experience research and design.

I have worked in the radio industry during my time at iHeart Media and education software during my time with Pharos Resources. I currently work on Tax, Audit, and Accounting software at Wolters Kluwer.

I am a graduate of Abilene Christian University.

In December 2020, I received my BS in Digital Entertainment Technology (DET) with a minor in English and a concentration in Game Development. While at ACU, I served in leadership positions for several student groups on campus. One role I am especially proud of is chairwoman for the student chapter for ACM SIGCHI (Special Interest Group for Computer-Human Interaction).

Interests

Throughout college and in my personal life, I have learned that I am comfortable leading groups and happiest when trying new things and taking on challenges. I enjoy learning, problem-solving, and teaching. I recognize that there are many paths to reach the same goal, and I value others' unique and innovative perspectives and solutions.

I am a Christian, and my faith guides me to be a hardworking and generous person in all areas of my life. Helpfulness, honesty, and humility are what I strive for regardless of the situation.

In my own time, I enjoy playing video games and board games with friends, catching up on my favorite shows, reading a new fantasy novel, taking photographs, and exploring my city.
